2. Self-Determination. Freedom to determine ones own destiny without the interference of a foreign or domestic oppressor.
Upheld by the U.N. and alluded to in point #10 of The Ten Point Program of the Black Panther Party, specifically this quote from the U.S. Declaration of Independence: "When, in the course of human events, it becomes necessary for one people to dissolve the political bonds which have connected them with another, and to assume, among the powers of the earth, the separate and equal station to which the laws of nature and nature's God entitle them, a decent respect to the opinions of mankind requires that they should declare the causes which impel them to the separation."
In 1914, it was V.I. Lenin who wrote: “[It] would be wrong to interpret the right to self-determination as meaning anything but the right to existence as a separate state."
And, from the 1930 Comiterm Resolution On The Negro Question in the United States,
" First of all, true right to self-determination means that the Negro majority and not the white minority in the entire territory of the administratively united Black Belt exercises the right of administrating governmental, legislative, and judicial authority. At the present time all this power here is concentrated in the hands of the white bourgeoisie and landlords. It is they who appoint all officials, it is they who dispose of public property, it is they who determine the taxes, it is they who govern and make the laws. Therefore, the overthrow of this class rule in the Black Belt is unconditionally necessary in the struggle for the Negroes' right to self-determination."
For me, since imperialism is literally everywhere in the world, it is less a question of borders and nation-states as it is a question of a people actually having the collective power to make decisions and act upon them without imperialism's interference. This means that those same people must also have the collective power to make and act upon decisions that in fact eliminate imperialism.
4. A Global Economy Based Upon "from each according to ability, to each according to need".
5. REVOLUTION IN MY LIFETIME. A system that demonstrates real freedom, justice, equality, and democracy in day-to-day practice cannot peacefully co-exist on the same planet with a system that promotes and practices destruction, exploitation, and oppression on a day-to-day basis! In order for one social/political/economic system to fully live, the other system (the current system) must completely die!
